  1. ‘LITTLE House on the Prairie’

Laura Wilder’s beloved ‘Little House’ novels return in a new adaptation that revisits 19th-century frontier life. Set in 1868, the series follows Pa and Ma Ingalls and their daughters, Laura and Mary, as they leave Wisconsin for Kansas. The story explores the aftermath of the Civil War and introduces sympathetic Osage Nation characters, while retaining the family-centred warmth that made the books and original television series enduring favourites.

Premieres 9 July on Netflix.

  1. ‘The Westies’

JK Simmons stars as fictional Irish mob boss Eamon Sweeney in this crime drama set in 1980s New York. The series blends historical detail with a story about younger gangsters challenging Sweeney’s authority. Against the backdrop of a major convention centre development, rivalries emerge between the Irish mob and the Italian Mafia. Tom Brittney, Allen Leech and Titus Welliver round out the cast in a tale of corruption, power and organised crime.

  1. ‘Ride or Die’

Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham lead this action-comedy as lifelong friends whose lives unravel after long-hidden secrets come to light. Judith is revealed to be an international assassin, while Debbie discovers her husband has ties to organised crime. Forced to flee across Europe, the pair dodge criminals, assassins and law enforcement in a fast-paced adventure featuring disguises, flamethrowers and speeding trains. Bill Nighy plays the head of Judith’s clandestine organisation.

  1. ‘The Hawk’

Will Ferrell brings his trademark comedy to the world of golf in ‘The Hawk’. He plays former champion Lonnie Hawkins, who attempts an unlikely comeback two decades after his biggest success. His plans are met with scepticism from his ex-wife, son and longtime rival Golden Fisk, played by Luke Wilson. Expect a sport comedy that is considerably faster and louder than the game it spoofs.

  1. ‘Heartstopper Forever’

After three seasons, ‘Heartstopper’ concludes with a feature-length finale. Nick and Charlie face a major crossroads as Nick prepares for university while Charlie remains at school. Based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novels, the series has earned praise for its warmth, inclusivity and sensitive portrayal of young relationships. Anna Maxwell Martin joins the cast as Nick’s mother, replacing Olivia Colman.

  1. ‘Lucky’

Anya Taylor-Joy stars as Lucky, a con artist left stranded after a major heist goes wrong. Hunted by criminals and pursued by law enforcement, she must rely on her instincts to survive. Annette Bening plays a ruthless crime boss, while Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor appears as an FBI agent determined to find her. Timothy Olyphant co-stars as Lucky’s imprisoned father. The series is adapted from Marissa Stapley’s bestselling 2021 novel.

  1. ‘Furious’

Emmy Rossum headlines this thriller as FBI agent Alice, who becomes obsessed with tracking a serial killer named Catherine, played by Lola Petticrew. As the investigation deepens, Alice discovers troubling parallels between herself and her target. Inspired loosely by the 1987 film ‘Black Widow’, the series explores justice, trauma and revenge. Scoot McNairy and Jake Lacy co-star as police officers connected to Alice’s past and present.
