The police are investigating a housebreaking and robbery incident after male suspects allegedly broke into a house in the Eros area of Windhoek on Friday.
It is alleged that the suspects broke into the house on Kilimanjaro Street at about 01h30 on Friday and tied up a 44-year-old woman before searching the house.
According to the police, the woman was sleeping when the suspects woke her up, tied her hands and instructed her to remain quiet.
The suspects allegedly took her cellphone, unlocked it and accessed her internet banking application.
According to the police, items valued at about N$51 000 were stolen during the incident.
The police said on Sunday that no arrests have been made and none of the stolen property has been recovered.
An investigation into the matter is continuing.
