The police in the Oshikoto region have report a suspected suicide incident in which a 33-year-old man allegedly took his own life on Thursday.
The incident happened at a house at Tsumeb.
Oshikoto police regional commander commissioner Theopoline Kalompo-Nashikaku said the deceased shot himself in the jaw and died on the spot.
“The pistol belongs to his brother. Investigations have it that the deceased, named Abisai Makuti, came from Rundu to do his driving licence and stayed at his brother’s place while in Tsumeb.
“The brother, unfortunately, left his licenced pistol on top of his wardrobe along with two magazines while at work,” she said.
