A man (26) was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man (44) to death at Iipandahangano village in the Outapi constituency of the Omusati region on Friday evening.
According to Omusati police regional commander Ismael Basson, the incident occurred at around 20h30 at Etalaleko location.
“It is alleged that a 26-year-old Namibian man used an Okapi knife to stab the victim in the chest, who died at the scene,” he says.
Basson says the reason for the stabbing is unknown. The suspect was arrested on the same day and remains in police custody.
He says investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.
