Hendrick Heelu (4) died after a snake bit him at Yaakeluu at Omuthiya on Friday afternoon.
National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi says Heelu was bitten on his hand and died upon arriving at the hospital.
“The deceased was playing with his four-year-old cousin in the house at Iindongo Yaakeluu village in the Omuthiya constituency while their grandmother was not at the homestead.
“The snake was found in the house and killed. The next of kin have been informed. Police investigations continue,” she says.
