A GIRL (14) was allegedly raped at Okahandja’s Nau-Aib dump site during the early hours on Saturday.
According to the Namibian Police weekend crime report on Sunday, the girl was on her way home at around 03h00 when she was approached by the suspect and taken to the dump site area, where she was raped. The suspect then fled the scene.
No arrest has been made.
In a separate incident, a man (52) was arrested at Okatope in the Oshikoto region after allegedly raping a mentally challenged girl.
The incident occurred on Friday at around 00h00, when the suspect allegedly entered the victim’s bedroom and raped her.
The police say the victim was in the room with a boy (9), who went to wake the victim’s father to inform him of the assault. However, when the father entered the room, the suspect had already fled.
The suspect has been arrested and is set to appear in the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
