Although I am aware that these particular types of Namibians have foolish amounts of money, I was unaware that they also possess idiotic ideas to buy face.
If what I observed is indicative of anything, they either ran out of ways to appease the powerful man, or this is sophisticated bootlicking.
In either case, it is a waste of money and effort that could be better utilised in a nation that pretends to be poor.
Who cares if the Presidency itself continues and announces the opening of a chamber with four walls through its official means of communication?
By the way, it’s a room that’s only 10 metres from the toilets.
It raises the question of whether the restroom in that building was formally opened, by whom, and how, because of how close it is to human waste.
Officially, though, it appeared to be a chance to inform the president and the relevant ministry of how they are implementing the ‘it is our time to eat’ promise.
