Fly Angola has introduced a new service connecting Windhoek to Luanda via Benguela, offering flights three times a week.
Air Connect Namibia in a media statement on Sunday said the route links Hosea Kutako International Airport in Namibia to Luanda International Airport, enhancing regional connectivity and fostering stronger ties between Namibia and Angola.
Flights are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Air Connect Namibia chairperson Bisey /Uirab in the statement expressed optimism about the partnership.
“The commencement of this route comes at a time when our people in both countries need to spend time with family and friends and connect for business,” /Uirab said about the route which launched in December.
He said Benguela, a coastal town in southern Angola known for its stunning Baía Azul beach, serves as a stopover on the route, offering travellers scenic views and cultural experiences.
“We warmly welcome Fly Angola to our shores, which will greatly benefit the strong historical ties between Namibia and Angola,” added /Uirab.
Air Connect Namibia, a collaborative initiative launched in 2024, aims to improve air access and support international carriers. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to boosting tourism and economic growth in the region.
