Farmworker found murdered

THE body of a farmworker was discovered at the farm Otjumue in the Omaruru district on Sunday afternoon.

Police reported yesterday that the 35-year-old man had been shot in the head, and that they are looking for two suspects in connection with his death. The man had been robbed of an unspecified amount of money, a bicycle and a .303 hunting rifle, Police say.* Johanna Nesheshe (15) from Outapi died on Wednesday after being hit by a Toyota bakkie.She was apparently trying to cross the road between Outapi and Tsandi when the accident occurred.Police have opened a case of culpable homicide against the driver of the bakkie.* A Toyota bakkie was stolen from the municipal swimming pool in Windhoek on Sunday afternoon.The bakkie is a 1996 model 4×4 and has the registration number N2582W.No recovery or arrest has yet been made.* In the Ohangwena Region, 18-year-old Moses Nathanael allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree on Thursday.* Frans Tuliameni Tobias was stabbed in the neck with a knife near the Uukwamatsi shebeen in the Africa Tongoshili area on the north-western outskirts of Windhoek on Saturday night.He died on the scene.A 21-year-old suspect was arrested and the Police investigation continues.* Four armed men held 49-year-old man at gunpoint at Dolam Circle near the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Katutura on Sunday morning at 04h00.The victim was robbed of N$800 in cash, a cellphone, his bank cards and his driver’s licence.No suspects have been arrested.* On Friday night a man in Diaz Street in Windhoek shot himself in the head with a 9 mm pistol.Rudolph Vernon died on the scene.* A 19-year-old woman, Rusina Michael, died in a car crash near Okongo in the North on Tuesday, after a bakkie she had been a passenger in overturned.Four other passengers, as well as the driver, suffered minor injuries.The injured were all treated at Okongo State Hospital and released on the same day.The man had been robbed of an unspecified amount of money, a bicycle and a .303 hunting rifle, Police say.* Johanna Nesheshe (15) from Outapi died on Wednesday after being hit by a Toyota bakkie.
