The City of Windhoek’s Parks Division will chop down 550 trees that have been marked with red paint at the cemetery in Pionierspark. Some of the trees are old, others were planted illegally and not accord- ing to cemetery specifications and others did not grow as they should have. The City of Windhoek’s Parks Division will plant between 800 and 900 new, mostly indigenous, trees as soon as the condemned ones have been removed. Photo: Tanja Bause
