A woman (29) died and another was injured after a brick wall fell on them at Kehemu at Rundu on Tuesday.
A truck carrying construction material allegedly drove into the yard where the women were, and struck the brick wall with a metal sheet, causing it to fall on them.
Kavango East acting regional police commander deputy commissioner Lucia Kahuure has confirmed the incident.
“The victims were rushed to Rundu Intermediate Hospital, where one was declared dead on arrival, and the other sustained serious injuries on the forehead. She is in a stable condition,” she said.
The deceased has been identified as Victoria Muyenga (29), a resident of Kehemu.
Her next of kin have been informed of the incident.
Police investigations are ongoing.
