FORMER deputy prime minister Libertina Amathila recently constructed a home for an elderly couple who are visually impaired.
Sakaria and Nangula Haule are from Oshana Shatemba village near Omuthiya in the Oshikoto region.
The couple had lived a nomadic existence for 40 years in the area.
Amathila also organised eye surgery for the couple, but only Sakaria managed to regain his eyesight.
In a video clip shared on social media recently, Sakaria is heard saying he had regained his vision after cataract surgery was performed on him.
