Woman gang raped at Okahandja

Nine men allegedly raped a woman (25) at Nau-Aib, Okahandja, at knife point early on Sunday morning.

National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi in the weekend crime report says the incident took place near the NamWater houses at Nau-Aib while the woman was walking home.

“According to the complainant, she couldn’t scream for help because the suspects threatened to stab her,” she says.

The police say the suspects fled the scene after noticing approaching vehicle lights, Shikwambi says.

After the suspects left, the victim sought assistance at a nearby house.

She was later taken to hospital and is reportedly in a stable condition.

No arrest has been made and police investigations are continuing.
