A Namibian woman (38) has been arrested after police seized cannabis and Mandrax tablets worth more than N$2.2 million at Goreagab, Windhoek, on Saturday.
National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi says the drugs were seized during a police search.
”About 10 215 grams of suspected cannabis and 17 717 suspected Mandrax tablets,” Shikwambi says.
The woman is facing charges under the Abuse of Dependency-Producing Substances and Rehabilitation Centres Act for allegedly dealing in prohibited dependency-producing substances, as well as a charge under the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.
