Things Gone Wrong

AFTER the War of Liberation from colonialism and South African occupation was won, everybody was very positive about the future of our beloved Namibia and of our Constitution.

But things have gone very wrong somewhere. The 14th anniversary celebrations have been and gone, and our Constitution was flouted by the Ministers.People, the brothers and sisters, will hear the same rubbish again, ad nauseam! Remember the 60 000 jobs promised before the last elections? We will still have to listen to a lot of promises and stories about big victories won by Fat Cats who will then leave in their GRN luxury limousines to go to guarded mansions behind high walls with electric fences and surveillance cameras.They will not tell us a word about the real government of our beloved country.Who are these people who really govern our daily lives? The Botsotos against whom no Ministers or Labour Union activists protest, who have the international protection of Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the UN, churches and Women’s organisations.Those who rule us are killers of taxi drivers, shop owners (cuca or otherwise) senior citizens, farmers, home owners or party-goers.They rob and kill for gain or just for fun.They are rapists of grannies, children and infants.They steal anything that is not nailed down, and even that which is nailed down, given the time which they seem to have, as they are the governors anyway.So, as in the past, the future of our beloved Namibia lies in the hands of the normal hard-working citizens – the housewives, mothers, fathers, senior citizens and youths.These are the ‘have-nots’ and the victims of our daylight robbery Government, who promised free schools, health care etc., and and who do so time and again.Take your country back! Replace both governments!
