Standard Bank trains 40 MSMEs on entrepreneurship

Standard Bank Namibia has trained 40 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in entrepreneurial capacity and investment readiness.

The training was done through the bank’s inaugural Blue Growth Series, which had received over 695 applications after the pilot was launched in August.

Spokesperson Elzita Beukes says the training lasted four months and will support and strengthen the role of MSMEs in economic development.

“The Blue Growth Series is not merely a training programme, it is a catalyst for sustainable growth and a testament to our purpose: Namibia is home, and we drive her growth.

“We celebrate the resilience and innovation of these entrepreneurs, and we remain committed to supporting MSMEs as vital engines of our economy,” she says.

The MSMEs were certified through the Harvard ManageMentor and Bloomberg Finance Lab in partnership with the Namibia Investment and Finance Academy.
