We definitely need another branch at Swakopmund. On Saturday May 26 only three tellers were working. All the mine workers, corporate companies and private owned businesses also got paid around the coastal area.
I entered the branch at 09h25 and only reached the teller at 12h00.I had a lot of money in my pocket which I could have deposited in the other banks, but they were all closed. Besides that, my brother who had gone to FNB also came out only after 12h00, experiencing the same problem.Bank Windhoek is one bank which has reduced the stress on tellers by opening more branches. Customers are happier and the risk of wide scale robbery is reduced.Robbers know that customers withdraw money but are unable to pay the accounts for which it was originally meant for since they only leave the bank after 12h00.The only teller machine at Standard Bank in Arandis has been out of order from that Saturday (May 26). Today is June 4 and that ATM is still out of order. Standard Bank please open another branch in Arandis! ResponseIn response to the customer’s concerns about service at the Standard Bank Namibia branch in Swakopmund, plans were already underway to beef up the branch with two more resources at the tellers. Furthermore the ATM at Arandis is also currently operational for customers to use optimally.
