“OWISHI”

“OWISHI”… President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah holds the 176.29 carat natural diamond recovered by Namdeb at its Southern Coastal Mine at Oranjemund. Viewing the diamond on Wednesday she named it “Owishi”, an Oshiwambo term referring to a rare type of honey found underground and considered difficult to locate. The diamond is the largest of its kind recovered at the mine in nearly two decades.
