THE Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) came to an end this weekend.
At the event Lazarus Shiimi, known as Gazza, scooped the Artist of the Decade Award, given to the artist who has won the most awards over the 10-year NAMAs period.
“We would like to congratulate Gazza for winning 18 awards. He has been nothing but exceptional in his work, producing quality hits,” NAMAs executive chairperson Tim Ekandjo said.
On the evening Rose BLVC scooped her fifth award, winning in the Best Newcomer category.
Ekandjo also handed out two special awards – one to Rockstar for their outstanding contribution to the NAMAs over the years and another to the NAMAs house band.
Artists such as D-Naff, Exit, Killa B, Cassidy Karon, Oteya, Lize Ehlers and Mushe entertained the audience.
