Standard Bank Namibia has recorded an increase of 98% in home loan volumes.
Speaking at the bank’s Home Loans Grand Finale event, head of home loans Randy Slabbert said the bank also recorded a 48% year-on-year increase in participating estate agents and a 75% rise in the value of new business.
“Results of this magnitude are only possible through partnerships and a shared focus on serving our customers efficiently,” he said.
The event awarded top-performing estate agents, and developers and consultants were recognised for their role in driving growth across the housing market.
Standard Bank chief executive Erwin Tjipuka at the event said the bank’s Buy-a-Brick initiative was able to raise N$2.5 million in 2024, enabling the construction of over 60 homes for families previously living in informal settlements.
“Through Buy-a-Brick, we are not just building houses, we are building hope,” he said.
