• NGAEVARUE KATJANGUAA NUMBER of memorial services have been lined up in honour of well-known sports lover Robson ‘Robbie’ Savage, who died at the Katutura Intermediate Hospital in Windhoek last week.
Savage, who was 50 years old, had been admitted in hospital for two months before his death, following a mild stroke.
The Namibia Football Association (NFA)’s head of the competition department Titus Kunamwene confirmed the services, the first of which will be held at his home in Khomasdal at 19h00 tonight, while another one is scheduled for tomorrow at the St Mary’s Catholic Church in Khomasdal, starting at 19h00.
As tribute to the much-loved sports fan, the NFA is also planning to hold a service at the technical centre on Thursday, which is expected to run from 15h00 to 19h00, followed by the final service from the family on Friday at the St. Andrew’s School hall, starting at 19h00.
On Saturday, a funeral service will be held at 08h00 at his home in Hanekan Street, and another service will be held on the same day at the St Mary’s Catholic Church Parish in Khomasdal, starting at 09h00.
