In commemoration of the late president Hage Geingob, his wife Monica Geingos, president Nangolo Mbumba, president-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and other government leaders laid wreaths in front of his grave at the mausoleum at Heroes’ Acre.
The government on Tuesday hosted a commemoration ceremony for Geingob who died last year on 4 February after a short battle with cancer.
Family and friends along with National Assembly speaker Peter Katjavivi and prime minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila gathered at Heroes’ Acre.
This is the first part of the commemoration ceremony and the second part will continue at the State House where statements will be delivered.
