Namibian junior golfer Jessica Dreesbeimdieke excelled to win the Angel Classic Golf Tournament in Saint Louis, the United States on Thursday.
Dreesbeimdieke won the girls schools golf competition by shooting a two-under par 69 for the course to finish one shot ahead of the second placed golfer.
The tournament took place at Wentzille, St Louis in the state of Missouri, with 12 schools and a total of 80 players participating.
Dreesbeimdieke’s school team, Westminster Christian Academy ‘Wildcats’ also won the schools category. The 16-year-old Dreesbeimdieke recently moved to he United States to further her golf career and soon made her mark.
At the beginning of July she came second at her first accelerated golf tour event at Lake Forest Country Club, Missouri.
Dreesbeimdieke won numerous Namibian titles before her departure, including the Swakop Open and the Namibian Open in 2013.
