The fixtures have been confirmed for the TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Cosafa Qualifier Mozambique 2026, with 12 teams set to battle for regional honours from September 18-27.
The competition will get under way with a triple-header at Estadio do Zimpeto in Maputo on Friday, September 18, as Mauritius take on Namibia at 12h00 CAT (10h00 GMT), Zambia face Malawi at 15h00 (13h00) and hosts Mozambique meet Seychelles at 18h00 (16h00).
South Africa will open their campaign against Lesotho at the same venue the following day at 12h00, before Angola tackle Eswatini at 15h00 and Comoros meet Botswana at 18h00.
The 12 teams have been divided into three groups of four, with Mozambique joined by Mauritius, Namibia and Seychelles in Group A.
Group B contains South Africa, Angola, Lesotho and Eswatini, while Zambia, Malawi, Comoros and Botswana make up Group C.
The teams will play a round-robin format in the pool stages, with the three group winners and the best runner-up advancing to the semi-finals.
The second round of fixtures will be played on September 20 and 21, before the group phase concludes with simultaneous matches in each pool on September 22 and 23.
The latter stages of the competition from September 21 onwards will move to the home of Associação Black Bulls in Matola, where the winner of Group B will meet the winner of Group C in the first semi-final at 16h00 on September 25.
The winner of Group A will then take on the best runner-up at 19h00 on the same day.
Following a rest day, the third-place play-off will be staged at 15h00 on September 27, before the final kicks off at 18h30 at ABB 1.
All matches throughout the tournament will be broadcast live on FIFA+ and Cosafa’s YouTube Channel.
The two finalists in Mozambique will qualify for the TotalEnergies CAF u20 Africa Cup of Nations Ghana 2027 that will be staged next year.
