Elaine Engelbrecht eyes Miss Teen International crown

Miss Teen Namibia International 2025 Elaine Engelbrecht is carrying Namibia’s hopes as she competes at the Miss Teen International pageant in India.

Engelbrecht has already made her mark, drawing attention both locally and abroad as one of the event’s popular contestants. Namibians are encouraged to follow the competition through the Miss Teen International social media platforms, where regular updates, photographs and voting opportunities are available.

As part of the pageant programme, contestants toured India’s cultural landmarks, including the Taj Mahal in Agra.

“That moment will be forever etched in Elaine’s memory,” says Miss Namibia Organisation national director Umbi Kaurihe-Upi.

The group has since moved to Jaipur, where the coronation ceremony is scheduled to take place later today.

“We anticipate Elaine to bring the crown home to Namibia,” Kaurihe-Upi says. “Please, Namibia, continue to support us. We need your encouragement and participation on social media.”

Kaurihe-Upi emphasises that international platforms such as Miss Teen International are vital in providing young women opportunities to serve as cultural ambassadors while also promoting tourism and heritage.

“Elaine has become a role model for both young and old. This is about more than a crown – it is about showcasing Namibia’s potential and celebrating our identity,” she adds.

Engelbrecht participated in the preliminary national costume round last night and will take to the stage for the grand finale on Sunday night.
