Till Drobisch won the Individual Time Trial at the National Cycling Championships which was held on the Otjihase Mine Road on Friday.
Drobisch completed the 32,4km distance in a time of 44 minutes 49 seconds to finish well ahead of second-placed Dan Craven (45:31), while Gerhard Mans Junior came third in 46:27.
Costa Seibeb came fourth in 46:48, with Loto Petrus fifth in 47:44 and Drikus Coetzee sixth in 49:03.
The Men’s u23 category was closely contested with Michael Pretorius winning in 54:05, while Danzel de Koe came second two seconds behind and Diego Izaaks third in 56:34.
Vera Adriaan was the only Elite Woman to compete in the time trial, winning the Elite Women’s category over 26km in 45:47.
Herbert Peters won the Junior Men category over 26km in 42:27, with Timmo Grossmann coming second (48:02) and Daniel Scholtz third (51:51), while Stefanie Grossmann won the Junior Women’s category over over 16,2km in 31:03.
Andre Huyshamen won the Masters Men’s category over 16,2km in 27:18, with Koos van Staden second in 27:58 and Jan Nel third in 28:28.
Jacques Celliers won the Sub Veteran Men’s category over 26km in 39:33, followed by Braam Vermeulen (43:59) and Cobus Smit (45:07).
Nick du Plessis won the Veteran Men’s category over 26km in 40:33, followed by Louis Peens (41:46) and Joris Harteveld (42:16).
Adele de la Rey won the Veteran Women’s category over 16,2km in 28:12, followed by Antje Tietz (28:52) and Anneke Steenkamp (29:49).
