The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (Cran) on Friday announced the appointment of its new board of directors.
The new board will oversee the regulation and development of Namibia’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector.
The new Cran board is chaired by Elwis Nashilongo, with Raundjua Hengari serving as vice chairperson.
Other members include Joze van Wyk, Herman Rutz, Elzine Mushambi, Nolan Swartz and Kavehuura Tjuma.
The regulatory authority said the newly appointed board assumes the responsibility of guiding Namibia’s ICT regulatory landscape and will play a key role in ensuring effective governance of the sector.
“We remain committed to regulating the ICT sector fairly, protecting consumer rights and promoting innovation for the benefit of all Namibians,” Cran said
