Bank Windhoek has been named the most admired Namibian banking brand in the 2025 edition of Brand Africa 100|Africa’s Best Brands.
This was announced during an award ceremony in Windhoek yesterday.
The Brand Africa rankings are based on a survey across 31 African countries, representing more than 85% of the continent’s population.
“This recognition is a moment of national pride. This award is a tribute to the people who serve with integrity and excellence every single day,” says Bank Windhoek managing director James Chapman.
Chapman adds that the award is a reflection of the role played by its marketing and corporate team in building a brand that resonates locally.
“This accolade belongs to every employee, from those interacting with customers to those working tirelessly behind the scenes. It confirms that when we work together with purpose, we create something meaningful, a much-loved Namibian brand that inspires confidence and possibility.”
Brand Africa’s 15th edition also recognised brands across G20 and Brics countries, as well as those contributing positively to society.
The surveys are led independently on behalf of Brand Africa by GeoPol and Kantar.
The 2025 edition had over 150 000 brand mentions and 5 930 unique brand mentions before being analysed to produce a representative top 100 ranking.
