Alta Ouses still believes

MUSIC goddess and soul singer Alta Ouses, who made her international debut in May 2022 with the hit single ‘Whine’, featuring Jamaican artist Kabaka Pyramid and Yungg Tri, is spreading her wings with the Johannesburg-based company Enstages.

This, after the song performed exceptionally well on Spotify, where it received 10 000 streams in less than three days and made it to the top while trending on Audiomack.

At the moment what excites Ouses the most is the fact that her song, ‘I Still Believe’ produced by the Grammy award-winning producer from Miami, Walshy Fire, was selected be featured in an upcoming Nigerian animation film titled ‘Zodiac’.

The animated music video even features the Namibian flag, and has collected 759 867 views on YouTube since it was posted in November 2020.

The Windhoek-born R&B performer and songwriter started her music career in 2018, but it was only during the Covid-19 pandemic that she managed to secure her first ever international collaboration.

“I received star treatment all the way through the show, and the team was very helpful and showed much love and respect. People were amazed by my talent and my mother tongue. It was great meeting other talent also, and I performed three original songs: ‘Whine’, ‘Faded Production’ with DJ Chronic and ‘I Still Believe’ featuring Walshy Fire and Jason Julian,” she says.

Ouses, who believes her talent is limitless, will have her next international show in America in November. She is also scheduled to record music with an uber famous DJ, however, she is keeping mum on that for now.
