Women’s Super League to resume

THE Namibia Football Association (NFA) Women’s Super League will resume with Rounds 3 and 4 of the championships on 26 May.

JS Academy currently lead the log with 25 points, followed by Okahandja Beauties on 24, while Poly Babes are third on 21 points.During the mid-season break, Beauties acquired the services of right winger Thomalina Adams, who has returned after spending a season with Germania F.C. in Germany.Upon her return Adams was the star for the Karas region at the Namibian Newspaper Cup exhibition match in which she scored four goals to lead Karas to a 5-1 victory over Hardap at Keetmanshoop over Easter.JS Academy signed Brave Gladiators goalkeeper Bonita Eixas from Okahandja Beauties during the transfer period after the second round games were completed. The Babes have been in training even when the league took a break and most of the players are also in preparation activities for the 2012 Cucsa Games to be hosted by Namibia. The squad includes experienced players like current Brave Gladiators captain Queen Manga, the Gladiators’ all time top goal scorer Stella Williams, Under-20 star player Lorraine Jossop, former Brave Gladiators midfielder Emily Gertze, Brave Gladiators Defender Maggy Paulus and Under 20 national striker Daphny Naobes. – namibiapsport.com.na
