Do you blame women for labelling men negatively? Especially when reading such headlines.
When you look at it closely, it is very rare to find a woman arrested for the murder of a boyfriend, or for robbing and hurting other people, or even for breaking into homes and cars…
It is mostly the male species at the forefront of criminal activities, and we wonder why so many women feel negatively towards men.
Big ups to all the men who are still gentlemen, especially those who respect women. I take my hat off to those who remain strong and respectable in these trying times where temptations to do wrong and be bad are at an all time high.
You see, times are difficult, and if you are not in control of your emotions and thoughts, you could find yourself doing things that are detrimental to yourself and those around you.
Life is not easy. The challenges are frustrating and stressful and can seem insurmountable. Sometimes it makes me want to lash out and lose control. But I always remind myself of the consequences of my actions, and think about the repercussions.
Life sometimes grinds us to the bone with all of its demands and pressures. I most especially empathise with those who have no means of income. Even though I cannot begin to understand or share in the challenges you are facing, and I am fully cognisant of how your circumstances may push you to engage in criminal activities.
If those who earn a monthly income find it difficult to get through the month, I can only imagine what you are going through. But the truth is, even taking that N$1 that doesn’t belong to you is wrong and doing wrong has consequences, whether legal or in terms of karma.
Yet we find men going around robbing and hurting other human beings without remorse, which makes us an unwell generation.
I really respect those men who remain committed to earning an honest income and who work hard no matter how menial the job instead of going around robbing and hurting others.
I find it difficult to emphathise with men who take the lives of the women they claim to love. Nothing good can be said about such actions, nor about the men who allow themselves to be swallowed by dark, negative emotions and thoughts.
I can’t even begin to understand what goes on in the hearts and minds of people who commit such crimes but I find it difficult to believe that self-control can’t prevent it.
It truly saddens me that men are failing to be the leaders they were born to be. We are failing in this world, failing at being the frontrunners for world peace, love, kindness and care.
While women and children are supposed to look up to us and be inspired by us, they look down.
While they are supposed to feel loved and appreciated by us, they feel fear.
While they are supposed to be encouraged by us, they are discouraged and feel hopeless at the sight of men.
This is the reality being created by men in today’s society.
I wonder what God must be thinking when He looks at all this. As loving and forgiving as He is, I wonder if wiping out the entire human race has crossed His mind.
Gents, to those who consider themselves good men, please continue to do good. Work hard, always aim to improve and influence those men around you.
To men who know in their hearts that they have fallen short of the standards a good man should have, it’s not too late to try to do better.
Till next time gents, cheers!
