NAMIBIA Premier League duo Brian Brendell from Civics and Oshikandela Ramblers defender Jeremia Baisako left for Switzerland on Monday to attend trials with Swiss Super League outfit FC Aarau.
Confirming their departure, Brave Warriors team manager Tim Isaacs said yesterday that the two’s return to Namibia depends on how successful they will be with the trials at FC Aarau. Both Brendell and Baisako were selected during the visit of a high-level delegation from Switzerland to Namibia earlier this year.Their visit was made possible by the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) in view of the 2010 International Federation of Football Associations (Fifa) World Cup in South Africa.A media release by the Namibia Football Association (NFA) in conjunction with the NTB said “the logistics are now finalised with regard to the trip of Brian Brendell (Civics FC) and Jeremia Baisako (Oshikandela Ramblers FC) to Switzerland for trials with FC Aarau”.”This was realised as part of the World Cup 2010 marketing initiative drive to drum up legacy benefits for Namibia in general by including social upliftment endeavours.Much appreciation is given to NTB that assisted with the ground-handling logistics for their safe travel,” the release said. The players departed at 19h00 last night on an Air Namibia flight via Frankfurt to Switzerland. The NFA warned both Brendell and Baisako to uphold good behaviour, performance, actions and conduct at all times and to be exemplary during their stay at FC Aarau.NampaBoth Brendell and Baisako were selected during the visit of a high-level delegation from Switzerland to Namibia earlier this year.Their visit was made possible by the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) in view of the 2010 International Federation of Football Associations (Fifa) World Cup in South Africa.A media release by the Namibia Football Association (NFA) in conjunction with the NTB said “the logistics are now finalised with regard to the trip of Brian Brendell (Civics FC) and Jeremia Baisako (Oshikandela Ramblers FC) to Switzerland for trials with FC Aarau”.”This was realised as part of the World Cup 2010 marketing initiative drive to drum up legacy benefits for Namibia in general by including social upliftment endeavours.Much appreciation is given to NTB that assisted with the ground-handling logistics for their safe travel,” the release said. The players departed at 19h00 last night on an Air Namibia flight via Frankfurt to Switzerland. The NFA warned both Brendell and Baisako to uphold good behaviour, performance, actions and conduct at all times and to be exemplary during their stay at FC Aarau.Nampa
