A Toddler (2) died at farm Okavikango at Sesfontein on Saturday after drinking an unknown liquid.
The police say the substance was discovered in a bottle which had fallen from the roof of a hut.
Attempts to save the toddler by giving him milk proved futile as the child vomited once only before dying at home.
“The liquid is unknown, although it smelled like petrol. The lid
of the container was collected for forensic analysis and post-mortem examination,” the police say.
The child’s next of kin have been informed of the incident, while police investigations continue
