Agra ProVision is hosting weekly training sessions in Windhoek. Today’s training sessions will cover farm safety for N$950, urban gardening for N$950, and layers production will continue onto Friday for N$2 000. Register at apvtraining@agra.com.na.
This evening is ‘Giants of Africa’, an exhibition by emerging Namibian artists at the National Art Gallery of Namibia. It will showcase fresh perspectives and creative voices shaping the country’s contemporary art scene, featuring Esenya Zulu and Jodine Strauss.

This Saturday, the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) is hosting the ‘Stage Actors’ Training Lab’ for beginners, with Lize Ehlers at the helm, speaking on breath, projection and clarity for voice and speech.

Next Saturday, the NTN is hosting its second advanced ‘Stage Actors Training Lab’ with Hazel Hinda, where participants will cover character development.
Droombos in Windhoek is hosting The Baby Expo on Saturday, 30 May. Attendees can expect top brands and exhibitors in fertility, maternity, pregnancy and early childhood, food stalls, fun children’s activities, entertainment and a baby photo competition. Entry is N$120 for everyone 16 and up.
Next Saturday is the Mr Teen Namibia finale at Okuryangava Lyeeta Elegameno Resource Centre between 15h30 and 18h00. It will be hosted by Xuro Milton. The theme is ‘Empowering Today’s Teen. Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders’.
On 30 May, the ‘Meat And Beer Festival Volume 24: Coastal Edition Part 2’ will be in town at Walvis Bay. There will be performances by One Blood, Kalux, Stakes Boy, Vangxa, Neymar and others, with DJ Mesh and DJ Max T on the decks between 10h00 and midnight. Also expect food and beverage stalls at Jan Wilken Stadium. Entry is N$80 before 16h00 and N$100 thereafter.
Next Saturday, indulge in an exclusive gin and kombucha tasting at Stillhouse Atlantic at Swakopmund. For N$800, you get a welcome drink, a guided gin pairing, and food pairings from 11h00.
Come to ‘Sip n Paint’ on 30 May at Loka Tapas Bar from 14h00 to 19h00. You’ll get paint essentials and complimentary drinks for N$250 per person.
Unam Khomasdal Campus presents Miss Khomasdal under the theme ‘A Night In Africa’ from 19h00 at its main hall. Entry is N$30 for students, N$50 for the general public, and N$60 at the door.

Pilates instructor Nimsi hosts near daily classes at 3B Gerald Evans at Olympia. There are hour-long slots on Mondays at 16h00, Tuesdays at 17h00 and 18h00, Thursdays at 08h30, and Fridays at 07h30 for N$100.

Dagbreek School for the Intellectually Impaired is hosting a ‘Frost & Flame Market’ on 6 June between 08h00 and 13h00. There will be soup, hot drinks, delicious food, and more.

The NTN’s ‘Stage Actor’s Lab’ will have a ‘Beginners Movement & Physical Awareness for the Actor’ session with dancer, choreographer and theatremaker Haymich Oliver between 09h00 and 13h00 on 6 June. On 13 June, they will cover improvisation and storytelling basics with stage legend Nelago Shilongoh in the Rehearsal Room for advanced students.
Droombos is hosting a Father’s Day hike on 21 June from 10h00, followed by a garden lunch. Entry is N$520 per person and N$220 for children under 12.
The Namibian Surgical Society will host a workshop from 3 August and a conference on 7 and 8 August at the Windhoek International Convention Centre. The theme will be ‘The Power of Interprofessional Collaboration Enhancing Peri-Operative Practice’.
