Southern Business School Extends Registration For Distance Education

Southern Business School (SBS) Namibia is extending its registration period until 14 August. During July, SBS Namibia made it easy for prospective students, through its open days and roadshow, to register for their Higher Education qualifications.

It hosted two open days at the Windhoek office and undertook a roadshow to Keetmanshoop, Walvis Bay and Ongwediva.

The number of registrations was overwhelming and clearly demonstrated a real thirst for knowledge amongst Namibians. To give more ‘potential’ students a chance to register, the window for applications and registrations has been extended by two weeks .

In July alone, more than 200 students registered for courses with SBS Namibia during the roadshows. The two open days in Windhoek over the weekend saw another 150 students register. These numbers are proof that catering for the students by making registration come to them and making it convenient for them is a real stimulus.

The roadshow has become an annual event and has proven to be very popular and successful, enabling students all over Namibia to register and receive their study material.

The registration for a higher education qualification, for example a higher certificate in management, diploma in management, a BBA or BBP degree or even a Master’s degree takes no more than 30 minutes and the courses are all accredited, recognised and offered via the distance mode of delivery.

“People are hungry for self-improvement and empowering themselves through education. SBS Namibia provides a way in which people can access tertiary education in their own time, when it suits them,” said Albin Jacobs, director of SBS Namibia.
