A desperate search is underway for Roslin Fabian (6), who vanished after being dropped off at KW von Maree Combined School on Thursday morning.
Roslin’s disappearance has reignited fears in a community still reeling from last month’s abduction and murder of Ingrid Maasdorp (5), who attended the same school.
According to the police, Roslin’s aunt reported that the child boarded the school bus at 07h00 on Thursday but failed to reappear when it returned for the afternoon pickup.
“We are still out here searching,” community activist Gerub Gaseb told Desert FM on Friday.
“The child has not been found yet.”
Locals have mobilised alongside the police, combing residential areas, fields, and routes to nearby Klein Samstaan, where Roslin was last seen.
In the meantime, members of Okahandja’s business community have offered a bounty for information leading to the perpetrator’s whereabouts.
