JOHANNESBURG – South Africa’s petrochemicals group Sasol shut down its Germiston plant after a fire caused an explosion, the company’s spokeswoman said yesterday.
‘The plant was shut down but no customers will be affected as we will continue to supply from our operations in Durban,’ Jacqui O’Sullivan told Reuters.
The cause of the fire was unknown and an investigation was ongoing, she said. – Nampa-Reuters
