The Namibian published an article in its print edition of 14 November 2024, and a related article on its website on 16 November 2024, titled “New Era revokes Musariri’s appointment.” As a result, we wish to clarify that New Era did not appoint Confidence Musariri, and New Era did not revoke any such appointment. Musariri was seconded to New Era by the Namibia Press Agency (Nampa). We retract the print article of 14 November 2024 and associated social media posts.We apologise to Musariri for any inconvenience and harm caused. This correction is made in terms of a settlement agreement between The Free Press of Namibia, Kalahari Reporters CC and its sole member, Confidence Musariri, which was made an order of the High Court.
