Before the printing of paper currency evolved to become the sophisticated process it is today, banks would struggle with widespread counterfeit notes that were difficult for bank tellers to spot.
In response, they started training their tellers to study the various types of fake notes, but that did not help because counterfeit money would also change over time.
Eventually, the banks realised the best way to train tellers on how to spot a fake note, was to have them spend weeks exclusively handling, touching, counting, and smelling genuine banknotes.
They became so intimately familiar with authentic notes that they could easily and instantly recognise a fake one by touch alone. They would instantly notice that something feels off.
This is the exact same process one must undertake to recognise counterfeit versions of your vision and goals. When you set out to attain a specific outcome, many different counterfeit versions will present themselves.
They come in the form of shortcuts and mini-compromises on the process, or as people who have interests contrary to yours. We must develop the ability to recognise this instantly. This requires the same process the bank tellers underwent.
They familiarised themselves with the texture, weight and detail of real money until its characteristics were deeply ingrained in their subconscious.
In the same way, you must spend time developing your vision and desired outcome, and hone it until it is almost second nature to you.
You don’t need to over-commit time and effort to being suspicious of people or events.
Instead, commit that time to deepening your vision and goals.
If you focus deeply on understanding what is true, authentic, and correct to your vision, then anything false would naturally stand out the moment you encounter it.
