Police in the South probe bail scam

THE Mariental Police are appealing to people who have paid bail at any Police station in the Hardap Region since 1997 to verify the payments.

Ten days ago, a clerk at the Mariental Court was arrested and charged with fraud for allegedly misappropriating more than N$156 000 in witness claims and bail money.
