A girl (3) was allegedly raped by her grandmother’s boyfriend (35) on Sunday afternoon in Katutura in Windhoek.
This is according to the weekend crime report released by Namibian Police spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi.
According to Shikwambi, the victim has been admitted to the Katutura State Hospital. The suspect has been arrested and police investigations continue.
In a separate incident, a woman (23) was allegedly raped on Friday by an Angolan man (35) in the Nehale Lyampingana constituency in the Oshikoto region.
“Both the suspect and the victim reside in a house as cattle herder and domestic worker. The victim’s uncle laid the charges on her behalf because she is an intellectually disabled person. The suspect is arrested. Police investigations continue,” Shikwambi said.
On Friday, it is alleged that a girl (15) was raped and physically assaulted by her ex-boyfriend.
“It is further alleged that the victim was with her aunt at a gambling house at B1 Center when the suspect grabbed her and took her to the Youth Complex by force. Police investigations continue,” Shikwambi said.
