PM encourages ‘order with me’ operators to apply for youth fund

Prime minister Elijah Ngurare says uptake of the National Youth Development Fund remains low.

The government last year launched the N$500-million fund to help young people start and grow their own businesses.

Ngurare encouraged young entrepreneurs to make use of the fund.

He said the operators should take advantage of business opportunities that currently benefit suppliers in Namibia.

“School uniforms should not be coming from outside Namibia, it should be coming from ‘order with me’,” he said during an engagement with “order with me” operators at David Bezuidenhout High School in Khomasdal on Saturday.

Ngurare also urged the operators to protect their reputation and businesses.

“Your brand, because it is your sweat and hard work, generously guard it,” he said.
