PDK raises the bar with ‘Kulupa Nayo’

Introduced to music lovers with the hit ‘Skoko’ and elevated to ‘Moko’ and ‘Fiyotakushi’, the Dirty ‘Kandeshi’ hit makers have done it again, this time around with ‘Kulupa Nayo’.

Omalaeti’s talented trio PDK – explicated as Patric, Deon and Kamutonyo, has come to prove once again, exactly why they are good at what they do. The 20 track collection caters for all dance moods and sets the record that the trio continue to maintain their stance.

From the onset, the album starts with a soulful traditional flavoured track ‘Kulupa Nayo’ which encourages the listener to delve deeper into the album. Track three titled ‘Kuliwa’ is surely meant to get any listener up on their feet as the mix shows us exactly what PDK are made of.

The remix of ‘Are you Single’ featuring Shyman and Promise is another sensational song, adding to the long collection which certainly brings a Namibian flavour to the song. Just when you think all songs are in Oshiwambo, the trio feature Kauna on a Rukavango track titled ‘Mauwa’. In reference to every summer season, the ‘Nayo’ hit makers add ‘Summer Party’ with Kamasutra and Lil-D to refine the mix.

Indeed, most if not all listeners of this album will attest to the fact that it is indeed on another level. Even PDK say it themselves on their 17th track titled ‘Another Level’. If you have not been introduced to the state of our society and its reality, then you should surely lend an ear to ‘Weiyo’. The trio says it loud as they plead for a paradigm shift in society, especially from our leaders. The long awaited album clearly does justice to music lovers and encourages jukebox manufacturers to create a repeat button on the musical marketing instrument.
