Ouseb clinches Swallows deal

MOHAMMED Ouseb has clinched a two-year contract with South African Premiership club Moroka Swallows.

The Brave Warrior was expected to sign today after conclusion of the move yesterday following a successful medical test. Swallows Managing Director Leon Prins confirmed on the club’s website that the player will be turning out for the ‘Dube Birds’ this season.”We are very excited about signing Mohammed,” he said.”He is a high quality defender who will bring more stability to the back.”Mohammed is a Namibian international who has just spent three seasons in Norway. Before that he was the Player of the Season while at Kaizer Chiefs, so he is certainly a defender of high quality,” said Prins. The departure of another Brave Warrior, George Hummel, to Russia midway through last season left Swallows with a vacuum at the back.Ouseb may well be the final piece in coach Gavin Hunt’s ‘jigsaw puzzle’ as the Bird’s coach goes about assembling a league challenging side.”I think we will be a lot stronger than last season,” Prins said.”We have added some great players to the team and I expect us to do really well this campaign”.Ouseb has just returned with the rest of the Swallows team from the Bird’s pre-season tour of Lesotho.Swallows Managing Director Leon Prins confirmed on the club’s website that the player will be turning out for the ‘Dube Birds’ this season.”We are very excited about signing Mohammed,” he said.”He is a high quality defender who will bring more stability to the back.”Mohammed is a Namibian international who has just spent three seasons in Norway. Before that he was the Player of the Season while at Kaizer Chiefs, so he is certainly a defender of high quality,” said Prins. The departure of another Brave Warrior, George Hummel, to Russia midway through last season left Swallows with a vacuum at the back.Ouseb may well be the final piece in coach Gavin Hunt’s ‘jigsaw puzzle’ as the Bird’s coach goes about assembling a league challenging side.”I think we will be a lot stronger than last season,” Prins said.”We have added some great players to the team and I expect us to do really well this campaign”.Ouseb has just returned with the rest of the Swallows team from the Bird’s pre-season tour of Lesotho.
