SWAKOPMUND Magistrate Bernhard Tjatjara and State Prosecutor Seradine Jacobs showed no mercy to Petrus Shuudifonya (36) yesterday by sending him to prison for a year for groping a woman’s breast earlier this year.
The victim, a 34-year-old woman from Swakop-mund, was returning to her home in the DRC settlement on Friday afternoon, January 15.According to her, she walked past Shuudifonya standing outside a house. As she walked past, he grabbed hold of one of her breasts before putting his hands on both her breasts. She pushed him away, humiliated. Shuudifonya asked her why she had pushed him away, took out a knife and threatened to stab her.She ran away and he allegedly chased after her for a while before giving up and going back to his house.The victim arrived at her home and told her husband what had happened. The Police were called; she identified Shuudifonya and he was arrested and charged with indecent assault and assault by threat.
