Ondangwa candidate and youth clean the town

ONDANGWA Urban Constituency independent candidate Angelina Immanuel hosted a clean-up campaign at the town today.

Immanuel said about 20 young, registered Ondangwa voters came out to help.

The group cleaned the Omatala, Ondjojo and Omandja areas.

“It was impressive because I thought I’d be standing there alone and doing this alone,” she said.

Immanuel said she was spurred into action when she came across the state of the old Ondangwa town council building, which she described as dirty.

No cleaning could however take place at the building, as she awaits approval from its lesee, after the Ondangwa Town Council informed her that it lets the building out.

“The building is being rented out and they needed me to write a letter to get approval,” she explained.

Immanuel said that she is still intent on cleaning the old town council building.
