THE ministry of education has appointed two new education directors for the Khomas and Omusati regions.
Erongo acting education director Benny Eiseb has been appointed as new director of education, arts and culture for Omusati region.
Executive director in the ministry of education, arts and culture Sanet Steenkamp confirmed Eiseb’s appointment.
She also said the ministry, through the Public Service Commission, also appointed former Otjozondjupa acting director of education Paulus Nghikembua as new Khomas regional director of education.
She added that the ministry is in the process of appointing a director of education in the Zambezi region.
Eiseb will replace late Omusati region education director Laban Shapange, who died from Covid-19 related complications in September last year, while Nghikembua will take over the position left vacant by Gerard Vries.
Vries was appointed deputy executive director for life-long learning, arts and culture within the ministry of education in September last year, replacing Veno Kauari who resigned in 2019 to take up a parliamentary seat.
