Nujoma’s vision was inspirational – Thieme

The executive chairman of the Ohlthaver & List Group, Sven Thieme, said he was out of the country when founding president Sam Nujoma died on Saturday, and was shocked to hear the news.

“Dr Nujoma’s vision, courage and commitment to Namibia’s independence and prosperity have left an enduring legacy that continues to inspire us all,” he said, adding that the nation witnessed Nujoma’s unwavering dedication to Namibians throughout his life.

“As a nation, we have a duty to carry forward the values of resilience, unity and progress that he so passionately championed. Let us continue to build a future that honours his life’s work – a Namibia where dreams are realised and possibilities are endless,” Thieme said.

He added that his thoughts and prayers are with the Nujoma family and all Namibians during this difficult time.

“May we find comfort in his remarkable legacy and the bright future he envisioned for us all,” Thieme said.
