The Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) has reopened its 2026 online funding application process for a third and final phase, giving eligible students another opportunity to apply for financial assistance.
The application window will open from 7 September until 7 October, according to a letter issued by the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture.
The ministry of education executive director, Mbumba Haitengela, made the announcement in a statement this week.
“This final phase provides an opportunity for eligible students who missed the first and second application periods to apply for financial assistance for the 2026 academic year,” Haitengela says.
Applicants have been urged to submit their applications within the stipulated period and ensure that all required information and supporting documents are complete and correctly submitted through the official NSFAF website.
Technical and vocational education and training trainees and students admitted for the September 2026 intake have also been particularly encouraged to apply, subject to meeting the eligibility requirements under the subsidised tertiary education funding model.
The ministry has called on student leadership organisations to help create awareness and encourage eligible students who have not yet applied to use the final opportunity.
