THE Namibia Football Association (NFA) will open the players’ registration and transfer window on Wednesday in preparation for the 2019/20 Namibian football season, with the various leagues expected to kick off in September and October.
The NFA secretariat on Tuesday announced the opening of the first registration and transfer dates for players as starting on Wednesday, 24 July, and set to close on 27 September 2019.
NFA members are also advised to diarise the second registration and transfer window which will be from 1 January to 31 January, 2020.
The NFA secretariat advised clubs that no extension will be granted, and urged clubs to thoroughly make use of this period. It is a requirement for every player to have a national identity number in order for him or her to be registered, as it will form part of a player’s unique player’s registration number.
Clubs are also advised to note that only players’ passes received by 12h00 on Wednesdays will be validated in order for the player to participate in matches scheduled for the upcoming weekend, while those submitted after that time will be processed for the following week’s matches. NFA By-law No.1 of 2007 is applicable during the registration period.
